Happy Birthday, America!
Wishing a Happy and Safe 4th of July to all my American blogging buddies! And wishing all of your equine friends some much needed peace and quiet.
I know around here the illegal fireworks seem to rule well into the night so there won't be much rest until near dawn.
Most of my horses are used to the loud bangs and exploding lights but I still stay close and watch them even closer.
This is Solidare's foal enjoying his time outside. I'm sure he's not going to understand being put up early because of fireworks.
Stay safe, one and all. Happy Fourth to you too.
ReplyDeleteBaby looks wonderful! Hope you get some rest
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly, I never heard a pop. Don't know if the cops were out or what. Not that I'm complaining.
ReplyDeleteThe foal is adorable. We have a bunch of jerks around here with fireworks too. They sound like cannons going off all night. It's bad because a lot of them are on night turnout because of the heat. Happy 4th to you, I can't wait until it's over and all the banging stops.
ReplyDeleteWhat a little cutie! Last night was crazy...we are usually at my sister's house for the 4th (so we can keep an eye on the horses), but we ended up staying at home...in town...and it sounded like we were in a war zone. Craziness I tell you!
ReplyDeleteAnd LOL about your horse shopping comment. There are quite a few nice mares out there, but no so many nice geldings. I wish I weren't so damn picky, because you are right, there great deals out there. Just not for the picky...teeheehee! : )
So adorable. I love how foals are all legs and sweet curiosity.
ReplyDeleteHe's such a cutie! Hope you had a great fourth!
ReplyDeleteMine don't seem to mind the booms too much.javascript:void(0)
