Happy New Year!
I was supposed to ring in the New Year taking "blue moon" pictures. Tracey of Mustang Diaries set this up and I said I'd play along. However, instead of taking pictures in the darkness (because the blue moon was thickly masked with clouds) I was sleeping. Talk about a dud!
Now the New Year is started and I feel like I'm already one step behind. I guess if that's the only step I lose this year, I'll be in good shape.
No resolutions for me...........I've given up "shoulding" on myself years ago. I do however have some goals one of which is to ride this horse. It's been two years since I cracked my head and I'd like to put it behind me.
Here's a little secret.........I have been on the horse a few times this last fall........and even winter. AND I ended up in the dirt once but it didn't kill me........or even hurt me..........well I was a little stiff the next day, I must admit. But I was not seriously hurt like before and I got right back on.
I rode him yesterday. Walked, trotted and cantered both directions and my stomach didn't do a single flip. It's a start.....
2010.............here we come!
We're just two old duds in our easy chairs. Well, I was on the sofa catching my Zzzz's until Darling woke me up. Next year we'll party at noon!
ReplyDeleteGood for you!! I think he's beautiful! Would love to see pics of you riding sometime, Mikael! :) Happy new year!
ReplyDeleteWe couldn't see the moon either because of the snow and clouds.
ReplyDeleteGood luck riding him in the New Year, he is gorgeous.
this is Reflection?
ReplyDeleteWe stayed up but not much past midnight, getting old and less interested in staying up!
I'd say that was a very good start!
ReplyDeleteYep no Blue Moon here either, just sub zero temps and lots of clouds, I slept right through it, I think that it is a very good idea that we celebrate the new year at noon as suggested by Tracey LOL.
ReplyDeleteTake care and look forward to hearing about your progress with Reflection!
is that reflection? reflection is my favorite.
ReplyDeletelook at the dapples on that horse. meine guete.

Tracey, that's not fair, I didn't have Darling here to wake me! But noon defintely sounds more promising for an event I might be awake.
ReplyDeletePony Girl, the problem getting pics of me riding is I'm the one with the camera. Can't seem to get anyone else on the other end except at shows.
Arlene, sounds like the blue moon was illusive for lots of folks.
Holly, yes, that is Reflection.
As for past midnight, I didn't even make it TO midnight. LOL
Donna, I hope you're right I seem to take one step forward and two back when it comes to this boy.
Lori, I suppose noon here is midnight somewhere else so it'll still be the New Year, right?? LOL
Lytha, yes indeed that is Reflection. The picture was taken at our open house. The ham put on quite a show.
You are keeping secrets from us? ha ha.
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to lope on Gunner. Well, actually it is to do a LOT more than just lope on him.
