Easy Horse Cookies and Arabian Horses

On this Thanksgiving Day, I can't help but be thankful for Scandalous Legacy. He is an amazing horse and has been more than I could have hope for as a sire. Being my very first stallion, I had a lot to learn and without his kind sweet disposition things could have been disastrous. Instead they have been a dream come true.

Also, after having spent most of the past three days working on food for my family, I thought it was time to pay some attention to my horse friends, so here is a recipe for quick and easy horse cookies. My herd love them.

Easy Horse Cookies
Ingredients
· 1 cup carrot grated
· 1 apple grated
· 2 Tablespoons corn oil
· 1/4 cup molasses
· 1 tsp. salt
· 1 cup rolled oats
· 1 cup flour
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Lightly grease cookie sheet.
3. In a large bowl, mix carrot, apple, corn oil and molasses together.
4. Fold in salt, oats and flour until well mixed.
5. Spread dough out in one big piece on the cookie sheet.
6. Score dough with a knife to make it easier to break apart after baking. (Or, roll dough out and cut with cookie cutters)
7. Bake for 20 minutes or until brown.
8. Let cool.
