Puzzle Time - What's This Horse Doing?

My farm is a mess after the heavy snow and ice storm. It's so disheartening I haven't even taken pictures yet but they're coming..... Dave was injured here on Friday in a horse related accident. The horse is injured as well. Will post about that when my heart will bear.

There's a lot going on and we're really struggling. I have been writing content for sites but it's slow going and so is the revenue. I had posted before Christmas I was going to list some things I have for sale on the added pages here and I'm actually going to begin with that tomorrow. I have a few craft items including the cutest snuggley lamb, some jewelry (all horse show or horsey type stuff) and some tack. I had lots more craft items I took pictures of but they are Christmas related so I thought maybe I should wait on those for now. If you want to see them, let me know, I'll be glad to add them.

Also, I have an extensive supply of Leanin' Tree greeting cards, the larger collector cards suitable for matting and framing, mugs, note pads, note cards, posters, magnets etc that I had listed in my ebay store until I closed it. I will be looking for a way to sell those online. They are not all horse related. There is an extensive collection of Josephine Wall, Jim Warren, Lee Bogle, Jodi Bergsma to name a few. If you're looking for beautiful unusual cards and gift items, I'd be glad to send you pics and information.

In the meantime, I thought posting something horse related might help my mood. I took these pictures soon after I got home from the hospital in November. This is the actual sequence of the pictures although I left out a few that fit in between the progressions. Can you tell what this guy is up too?

  1. Oh, no. I'm so sorry to hear about the injuries. That isn't something anyone wants to hear.
As for your horse (who is magnificent, by the way)... I have no clue! Something is tickling him?

  2. So sorry to hear about Dave. I pray that it isn't serious for him or the horse.
Not sure what the horse is doing, looks like it wants to grab it's tail. ??

  4. Hope Dave will be OK, sounds worrisome! Glad to see you posting. The cards sound lovely . Looks like buddy in the pictures is dealing with a big ole itch! ALmost looks like he was going to pick up that hind leg and scratch his ear with it! (my old fella would do that now and then , funny mom called it a "piggy scratch"

  6. Sorry to hear about Dave and the horse. Hope everything will be okay. All your items sound like things people would be interested in.

I think your boy looks like he's got a mighty big itch. But I'm probably wrong.

  7. I'm very sorry to hear about Dave and the horse being injured. You already had enough on your plate. I hope he's okay.

I would guess itching as well.

  8. lol is this horse a stallion? I knew a stallion once who would do this exact same thing, then squeal. He was an odd one.

  9. Sorry to hear about the accident. Hope Dave and horse are healing well.
As far as the pictures, they remind me of when one of my dogs farts - they sniff at their rears as if, "Did I do that?" and if it's particularly odiferous, will get up and move.
I've had a bunch of Christmas stuff ready to be sold on eBay for over a year. Nothing I listed last summer was bought. Meant to try this fall but didn't.

  10. Oh no, hope Dave and the horse are ok, nothing serious.

Looks like hes trying to chase his tail, although I never seen a horse do that before.

  13. So sorry about the accident and hope it wasn't too serious. You've all had WAY too much to deal with, for way too long. Have you ever considered calling KOMO people helpers?

I would guess that the horse (Rhet I believe) might be chasing his tail!?

  14. kind of like tail chasing in dogs?

  16. Guessing he is itchin' for a scratch. The next move is a fence post or something to rub against to satisfy it?

Hope Dave and the horse are both ok. That sucks. Just when things seemed to be turning around for you guys too.

  17. What a goof ball! He looks like he is chasing his tail.

I hope that Dave and your horse are OK and healing. And that you are healing up well and are able to get out to the barn for some good horse time.

  19. I will do a post telling what this horse is doing before the weekend is over, I promise. Can't get to it now because of a family commitment in a couple hours.

I appreciate everyone's comments and particularly want to thank jalec48 for warning me about the photo on my facebook page. I think I got the picture off but there are other things that I don't want, like a link to a news story, appearing on my FB. Does anyone know how I can get rid of that. It used to be I could put the cursor in the right corner and a window would appear giving me the option to delete unwanted stuff. Now that is gone and there is a button to share etc. Can't figure out how to rid myself of unwanted junk. Also does anyone know if there is a way to find out who put the link there so I can unfriend?? Any input would be appreciated.

  20. it should say "so and so " tagged you in a photo, or shared a link" if you go into your settings you might be able to block photos being posted that you don't want . also there is a spot beside each post ,or there should be to delete or block, or report

  23. :(
The hits just keep on coming, don't they?
Hoping that all will improve, fer cryin' out loud, enough!
Sorry I've been so absent. crazy times here too...

What is that handsome beastie doing? Looks like he was biting at his gaskin, and then spinning? I knew a ridgling that would squeal and kick and spin as he bit himself.. Hope this horse is okay! He looks happy, whereas the ridgling always had flattened ears and a "I YAM SO BAD" expression.

Best of luck, times have to change, don't they!!

  25. Sorry to confuse, RR. I just read this from you, only. I know nuttin' else, which shouldn't be a surprise:)
You said "I appreciate everyone's comments and particularly want to thank jalec48 for warning me about the photo on my facebook page." I had no idea what it was about, but since you are like me, I guess, FB challenged, I just wanted to commiserate.
Sorry to be so vague. Take care!

  26. GoLightly, Thanks for clarifying this. I forgot about those pics and probably should explain. I don't know who saw them, but there were two of them within a couple of days of each. After being warned about the one, I caught the other right away.

Both were nude videos and I must admit I wish my body still did look that good but even if it did, I would never post anything like that on FB or be involved with anyone else posting such things and tagging unsuspecting people as part of the thing. I removed the tags, unfriended the cuplrits and reported both.

Also, I will do a post about what this horse is up to and "who" it is. With Mark's death, I just haven't felt like it but it is coming. I promise.
