I admire him so much. I just tuned in for the race itself, didn't watch all of the pre-race stuff.

I did make sure that I watched the post parade because someone that I know from a horse forum actually was ponying one of the horses. She and her 26 year old ex race horse, Orbit, were ponying Mission Impazable. That old horse looked fantastic, as calm and cool as a cucumber. I bet that will be one race that lady never forgets.Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17692541935507155362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053415389447235937.post-22557463451131758562010-05-02T04:53:48.787-07:002010-05-02T04:53:48.787-07:00Couldn't have said it better! I too watched all of the pre-show, the race, the re-play of the race, and got teary when horse and rider were standing with all the roses... I also said a big prayer before the race that everyone would be safe and alive at the end of the race! I was so worried about that sloppy track! One of the docs was at the Derby the year of the Eight Bells debacle, and I gotta say, I'm glad I missed that race.... didn't you love the guys face when he saw the horse win and realized he had just won $900,000? Now maybe, he can afford a better toupee! HEE HEE... Ah...the Derby. Nothing like it. Except the World Equestrian Games, and the Olympics, and Rolex, and Devon, and a backyard show......jacksonsgrrlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09702324347419665816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053415389447235937.post-70755734950303345452010-05-02T03:36:40.188-07:002010-05-02T03:36:40.188-07:00One of the kids asked in passing when is the Kentu...One of the kids asked in passing when is the Kentucky Derby.
